Dana Andrews must have felt pretty confident after her performance of The Who’s “Baba O’Riley” on Tuesday night’s episode of “Rock Star: Supernova” on CBS.
The 22-year-old Augusta resident, who sings in the Columbia band Everything After, got a “Nice job, kid” from co-host Dave Navarro and skipped band practice Wednesday to get her first tattoo (a treble clef) and spend some time at the spa.
But viewers around the country weren’t as taken with Andrews, and she ended up in the bottom three in voting.
And while her performance of “House of the Rising Sun” on Wednesday’s elimination show wasn’t bad, the other two contestants did better, so the boys in the band sent her packing.
Not without regrets, though.
“You’re just getting started,” Navarro reassured her.
Although Andrews was the youngest of the original 15 contestants vying for the chance to front the new supergroup (which features Motley Crue’s Tommy Lee, Metallica’s Jason Newsted and G N’ R’s Gilby Clarke), she handled it with class.
“This is the best adventure I’ve ever experienced,” she said. “I’ve learned a lot. I still want it like I want to breathe.”
The Dana moment we’ll nominate for the Reality Show Hall of Fame? That was two weeks ago when she nearly got the boot but vowed, “I’ll show you, Gilby Clarke.”
That should be on a T-shirt.

I know that Dana Will go far,she is one very special lady with lots of Class.She is very thoughtful of other people and she can belt out a song.At 22 she has lot’s of time.Her writing ,Singing and personality will take her far .She will follow her dreams and we better watch out.Watch out Gilby!!!!!!!!The show was a chance of a lifetime and she was great and left with class.A true southern Rockstar.Keep Rocking Dana ,You have always been a star in my eyes.you know who.
