Supernova, the band featuring ex-Metallica bassist Jason Newsted, former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke, Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee and newly chosen singer Lukas Rossi, has posted two new songs at its MySpace page. The tracks, called “It’s All Love” and “Be Yourself and 5 Other Cliches,” are likely to appear on the group’s debut album, due out on November 21st. Rossi was selected as the band’s vocalist on last Wednesday’s (September 13th) season finale of the CBS reality series Rock Star, having outlasted 15 other applicants for the job.
Rossi was interviewed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday (September 15th).
Supernova will make its concert debut on December 31st in Las Vegas and begin a full tour on January 16th in Hollywood, Florida. The Panic Channel, featuring Rock Star co-host Dave Navarro, will be the opening act.
Meanwhile, the Rock Star Supernova may have to change its name after a San Diego judge last week approved a preliminary injunction filed by an Orange County, California punk trio with the same name. The judge barred the TV band from “performing rock and roll music, or recording, or selling rock and roll music recordings under the same (name), pending a trial of this action on its merits, or until otherwise ordered by the court.”

I believe that Toby was the best singer in the competition but not the right fit for Supernova. I believe that Toby and Juke Kartel will be a hotter act than Supernova! They actually did them a favor by voting him off. Rock on Toby and Juke Kartel!!
