Storm Large and Magni Dumped from Rock Star Supernova Tour

Portland performer Storm Large — along with Icelandic rocker Magni Asgeirsson — has been effectively axed from ROCK STAR SUPERNOVA’s touring roster.
The two rockers, who were embraced by home-viewing audiences throughout the run of last summer’s CBS reality series “Rock Star: Supernova”, had been asked by the concert’s producers to perform on the tour for ROCK STAR SUPERNOVA, the band now composed of Tommy Lee, Jason Newsted, Gilby Clarke, and series winner Lukas Rossi. But Magni and Storm, along with the show’s house band, were cut from the tour late Wednesday, web sites are reporting.
The reason cited? Financial.
TMZ.com is reporting that the show’s finalists, Australian Toby Rand and Dilana Robichaux, are still on the bill. They will be backed, however, by Rand’s group JUKE KARTEL.
Commenting to her fans on her own site, Storm seemed to take the blow with humor.
“They SAY it’s financial,” writes Storm, “but I know what REALLY went down … I clearly haven’t slept with enough people. I thought I got all of em’ but a few were kinda squirrely and escaped my lusty grip. DANG IT!!”
But Storm asks that fans still make the gig, even if she isn’t performing, as the artists who will be performing (including Dave Navarro, who laid guitar tracks for a new version of her song “Ladylike”) had nothing to do with the decision.
I’ll bet ‘financial reasons’ means they expect to make ALOT more money using Toby’s band rather than the House Band. Though I think RS’s House Band is AWESOME, a very large number of RockStar fans wanted Toby to win this gig.
For a massive rockin’ show, even if just for New Years opener…have JK play with Toby, House Band with Dilana & Magni,Storm Large & The Balls, Panic Channel…then top everything off with Lukas & RSS.
It could be a bit like American Idol’s ‘tour’, but only for the opening show on New Year’s Eve.
If I were T. Lee & company, I would SERIOUSLY consider a big show like this to kick off their tour, especially with it being in Vegas.
SO many fans of supernova will not be going tothe tour shows because Storm Large will not be with the tour. that was a bad move. Will Strom Have her own tour?
I’m sure Storm will go very far. After presenting her original song to us on RS, no doubt she’s earned alot of new fans. Good luck, Storm!
it really won’t matter if Storm Large isn’t there cuz she kinda sucked anyways,i would still go cuz u get to see supernova, they rock with or without storm.
