Dave Narvarro Upset with Rock Star Supernova Promotions

Dave Navarro is disappointed about the promotions for Rock Star Supernova’s just-released debut album. David Narvaro was the executive producer of Rock Star Supernova and had these comments to say on his personal website:
“The Supernova record is out today. Does ANYONE know about that,” Navarro asked. “I just went to iTunes and noticed that there isn’t even one comment up. Now, I have been complaining about the state of the music industry for a long time… About how major record labels don’t stand behind their bands anymore but this is ridiculous. This is a new band that is full of platinum selling artists and the final winning singer from a high rated, network talent search summer series that cost millions to produce. CBS and MBP basically put together one of the most expensive ramp ups in album release history and so far, I haven’t seen a single add or alert about this album. Now, the band will be fine. They are going out on a huge tour and will gain plenty of momentum I am sure. My point is, if this is the way Epic is going to treat these guys, how do we expect any major to really get behind a band that is new, fresh and totally unknown?”
Rock Star Supernova, moved less than 17,000 copies in its debut week, landing them the No. 101 position on the Billboard Top 200 Albums.

I haven’t heard the album yet, but I will when I can get into town and buy it! I’ve heard “It’s All Love” on the radio….AWESOME!! Can’t wait to hear more! Rock on, guys!
I can’t even find the freakin record, oooopppppsssss, the disc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I won a copy of the CD in a music TV show promotion in NZ. It is being heavily promoted here. What is peculiar is that there are no videos to promote the songs. What has happened to the videos. As for the songs, as with any album some are better than others.
A couple of the songs Valentine and dead parade could lend themselves to real rollicking videos. A simultaneous video release would have greatly increased imediate sales. Like Dave fears, if they do this to veteran platinum masters what chance do the appretices have.
Yes, I ahve bought a copy of the new CD here in Watertown, WI. It is outstanding. I loves it. Lukas and the guys are great. The sound is wonderful. I have given the CD’s for gifts and gotten the same opinions from those people whom had never heard the show or Lukas at all and are fans of the stars in Super Nova. This is a hit in Wisconsin. If I could have them sing here they would be a hot.
The only thing the CD is good for is to use as a coaster for my beer.
I saw the concert last night at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida- All of the performers were spectacular- I also loved meeting Dilana at the merchandising area- It was a big thrill to hear everyone and I was extremely impressed with Navarro’s guitar playing ability- loved Lucas, etc. but the advertizing is about zero for the CD!I am looking all over for a real copy of the TV show on DVD- AND AM STILL LOOKING FOR IT! by the way-, at the concert, the sound was way too loud and the lights blinded me from seeing my idols! Get better stage managers- pleeeeeeeeeeeeese!
I agree about the lack of publicity for both the album and the tour. I loved the show, but heard virtually nothing after that other than the kickoff at the Hard Rock in Vegas. I did finally see them on a promotional appearance of Regis and Kelly this morning Mon 1/29, and the performance was great, with Tommy on a grand piano rather than drums.
I’m going to the Chicago concert 2/3, and hope for a great show.
